SunPower is seeking an experienced FP&A and Sales Operations director to support the sales team to support the regional sales leaders in all aspect of sales (improve sales productivity, manage pricing, customer profitability, sales strategies) to drive double digit growth in EMEA. This position is based in Geneva.


Key tasks include to design, implement and manage the processes that support EMEA business decision and its budget definition and control. This includes developing financial forecasts and analysis, generating internal management reports, monitoring key performance indicators and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes. It also conducts financial reviews of a wide range of business issues from deal analysis to business process improvement.


This position reports directly to the Global FP&A and Sales Operations Director and supports all the EMEA internal stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting and analysis. It ties together the various business units and interacts with management using clear and concise analysis. Eventually, this role is a key contributor to the EMEA business and will develop a tight working relationship with its leadership.


This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and accustomed to multi-tasking.  The ideal candidate would have a mix of international business experience, pricing, sales strategy, Financial Planning and Analysis skills, experience of working in a very fast changing environment and experience in a similar role in a multi-national company with exposure to business modelling and project management.



  • Sales Operations key tasks:
    • Alignment on market and competitive trends, new business opportunities (segments, markets, channels) within the EMEA region
    • Focus areas (Where to Play, what to grow, defend, kill/cure, explore) at product line, country and customer level
    • Definition of integrated plan for the region – sales and Manufacturing alignment
    • Price-Volume trade-offs and profit optimization
  • Financial business partner to the EMEA sales leadership.
  • Business case modelling for projects and new sales channels
  • Preparation of various management analytical reports and presentations including: budget vs. actual reports of sales, gross margin, P&L, monthly headcount reconciliation, sales productivity, cash flow.
  • Responsible for the business dashboard information integrity and timely reporting.
  • Together with the EMEA/APAC Revenue Recognition Manager, correctly report the business unit revenue in actual figures and forecasts.
  • Support FP&A Senior Director with ad hoc analysis and complex modeling (sales, sourcing, delivery, risk/liabilities assessment).
  • Provide support and guidance to the Sales team in areas for improvement in margins, spending, and input to contracts
  • Assist the Sales team in negotiating sale/credit conditions, and successful execution of the financial agreements
  • Coordination of global and regional processes
  • Work closely with Sales Operations and other personnel across functions to achieve targets.
  • Provide economic/financial analysis to support in-country pricing strategies and investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Legal to monitor and execute the credit and collection function
  • Ensure business practices comply with SunPower internal policies and procedures.
    Minimum Requirements
    The ideal candidate has worked with different business units and legal entities with a range of currencies; understands how to present a consolidated view to management from this base. The candidate has worked with a sales team, is able to articulate sales strategy and owns pricing. The candidate is able to make sense of multiple data sources. Acting as the bridge between the details of all the entities/systems and upper management, the candidate is able to speak to both the detail and the summary and present only what is necessary while still understanding the details behind the summary roll-up.
  • Degree in economics, finance, management or engineering; 
  • Minimum of 3/5 years of business experience;
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling with superior analytical and financial skills to evaluate a broad range of financial questions-especially IRR and NPV valuation, ROI/ROIC, and complex business questions. Superior Excel skills.
  • Superior presentation skills (written and delivery).
  • Excellent organizational skills. Independent, “can-do” attitude, self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required and fluency in European languages is highly desired (most applicable being French, German, Italian, Spanish and Flemish). Must be legally permitted to work in Europe.
    Preferred Requirements
  • MBA highly appreciated, management accountant certification preferred.
  • Business experience preferably in the planning and analysis field, 5+ or which in a publicly-traded multi-national corporation, preferably a US corporation.
  • Ability to lead and drive change in a developing business environment. Exposure to business process redesign/improvement.
  • Experience with ERP and budgeting systems, preferably Oracle and Anaplan.
  • Strong social skills, ability to work in a highly multicultural environment.
