SunPower is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Manager to join a world-class dynamic organization within the Finance and Accounting team. This is a critical position that will support Global Finance and Accounting organizations.

A successful senior manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to enable compliant, operationally efficient financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, with varying levels of experience and functional designations.


This individual will be responsible for the overall management of the Global Finance and Accounting Information Systems Environments, the direction and coordination of projects, including the design, development, implementation, deployment and maintenance of the multiple finance-related systems including Oracle, Anaplan and other satellite systems. This role will coordinate resources (internal, contractors and third-party vendors) for the execution of finance projects which will include both technical implementation and business process reengineering efforts. The senior manager will have frequent and direct contact with all levels of Finance, Accounting and IT functions.


Working under the Finance and Accounting organization and in partnership with Operations, Corporate Audit and IT leadership, the senior manager would support controllership initiatives with proactive, client-oriented focused solutions. The senior manager would establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of finance strategies, tactics and processes, and participate in the development and implementation of Financial Systems strategies.




  • Ability to understand a complex system architecture in which data flows between interconnected systems, managed by different teams.
  • Strong finance functional expertise, business process knowledge and an understanding of US GAAP and SOX 404 compliance.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills required – sample documentation may be requested; includes the capability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner and present findings as well as recommendations, in both oral and written presentations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience applying these skills to resolve operational accounting process and system issues.
  • Customer focus and the ability to effectively collaborate in a cross-functional and matrix environment.
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to work well within all levels of an organization.
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Comfort with initiating and responding to change; demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process/system improvements.




  • 8+ years working within a Global IT Organization
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing both IT projects and cross-functional project teams
  • 5+ years IT Finance experience (including managing a team)
  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or equivalent technical designation
  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred); other out-of-country designations may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of the critical finance business processes around Procurement to Payment, Order to Cash, Inventory to COGS, Fixed Assets, Record to Report and Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to both lead and participate in change
  • ERP implementation and/or deployment experience, preferably Oracle
  • Project management experience with business process reengineering efforts specific to Finance and Accounting including training, user adoption & organizational change management
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully challenge the status quo
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Possess good business acumen and be able to lead cross-functional discussions combined with providing accounting operation recommendations to management based on various accounting interpretations for a given transaction
  • Experience working in a global environment and understanding of regulatory, language, compliance and privacy requirements
  • Acquisition integration experience
