Summary of Role

SunPower is looking for a Center of Excellence Program Director, who will work and collaborate with the entire organization of the company, including Finance, Digital, Sales, Operations data and Project Finance teams to drive the project of creation of a Center Of Excellence in data analytics, reporting and process governance.

The key elements of the role will include (i) an excellent understanding of the company business in order to define the right data and KPI’s to be identified, (ii) good technical knowledge about data science management as well as (iii) capability to manage large groups of stakeholders from cross-functional teams and (iv) ability to drive efficiency and change within the company.

This highly qualified and technically proficient leader will also need to be comfortable and highly effective in a rapidly changing environment, providing guidance, analysis and helping make decisions. This role will report to the Vice President of Corporate Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project of CoE creation within timeline and budget

  • Build an effective and collaborative work environment with the contractor in charge of helping with project development

  • Collaborate with company leaders to define needs and expectations and define a clear scope of work on Data Analytics

  • Identify best IT and Digital solutions on Data Analytics as well as Drive IT and Digital developments in collaboration with external contractors and in-house IT department

  • Lead weekly and monthly project follow up to top management of the company

  • Provide leadership on fast-moving, complicated projects and act as the primary point of contact for Finance Leadership

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the business units such as Sales, operations, Finance, Digital, Customer Care, Project Finance, and other key business partners & stakeholders in a way that fosters an open environment of continuous dialogue and information exchange

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of business-critical processes, systems and risks impacting the overall portfolio of priority projects

  • Manage capacity planning for resources & budget needed to ensure successful execution and implementation

  • Implement standards and best practices for defining/scoping/implementing large cross-functional projects

  • Define and implement metrics to measure and communicate success

  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key stakeholders and team members.

 

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of combined experience in project management and Data Analytics

  • Experience in managing Finance, Digital and Business Process Projects

  • Experience managing a global team and scaling large organizations

  • Experience working in a global cross-functional global environment

  • Experience with intake/prioritization/status best practices and related sets

 

Preferred Qualification

  • CPA/PMP certification

  • MBA or graduate degree

  • Deep knowledge in Information Systems, Finance applications and Project management
