Summary of Role:

SunPower New Homes is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor to serves as the direct manager for the California residential commissioning team. This role will ensure timely commissioning of a high volume of residential solar lots by working directly with field-based technicians, scheduling, technical support, and customer care teams.

This position involves tracking community and residential project objects for upcoming and inflight projects. Providing a consistent feedback loop on installation quality and operational efficiency will be required to meet weekly goals. Expectations are that the supervisor will manage the hiring and production of commissioning techs I &II.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the commissioning team is correctly documenting every site visit to provide transparency of results
  2. Manage SalesForce data, reporting, and key metrics for quarterly deliverables
  3. Ensure the comm team’s schedule is full each day, based on performance metrics needed (pre or post)
  4. Performance manage technicians to deliver on team goals
  5. Hire and train technicians as demand grows
  6. Subject matter expert in commissioning of PV systems including SunPower proprietary hardware and software


Required Qualification:

  1. 2+ years of experience working in CRM like SalesForce to manage a high volume of projects
  2. 2+ years of experience working with solar production monitoring equipment and software
  3. 1+ years of experience managing a field-based team
  4. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
  6. Proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  7. Experience working in an office environment to facilitate field logistics


Preferred Qualification:

  1. Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  2. Advanced knowledge of CA building codes, residential construction principles and best practices
  3. Advanced knowledge of National Electric Code
  4. OSHA 30
