Role Description:

We're excited about building our technology team that will be on the forefront of solar technology and software. We’re looking for an experienced full-stack JS developer that is interested in contributing to growing and scaling a pivotal application for an increasingly growing industry of solar. You will have a real impact on the business and technology. You will be working with our engineering, product management and design teams to help deliver a great user experience across all aspects of Sunpower’s design, sales and solar installation. Working with a small team using agile development process, you will be bringing solar products to life and help build new features across all areas of our solar product line. You will develop high-performance, highly responsive, intuitive, and sleek experiences that will delight our solar customers and solar designers. You can expect to participate in all aspects of the product life cycle.

 

Required skills and expertise

Must have:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

  • Advanced experience with Reactjs, node.js and Redux

  • Advanced experience with HTML5, CSS

  • Proficient with Yarn

  • Proficient with RESTful API design and implementation

  • Proficient with Docker for local development and production deployment

  • Proficient with code versioning systems (Git)

  • Experience with relational databases and datastores: Postgres, Redis

  • Experience writing js integration and unit tests

  • Experience integrating with 3rd party systems (Eg: AWS S3, SalesForce, Api’s)

  • A proficient communicator with both technical and non-technical parties

 

Nice to have:

  • Proficient in Python or Ruby

  • Proficient in machine learning and neural networks

  • Familiar with Salesforce interface

  • Machine Learning

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Applies working knowledge of scientific or engineering concepts.

  • Develops technical expertise.

  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

  • Proficiency in processes specific to job function, as well as processes used by adjacent organizations and functions.
