Responsibilities

  • Commercial Operations responsible for the Americas region. Act as point of contact between the finance team and SunPower Energy & Services.
  • EOQ, AOP, weekly forecast, closing; monthly performance reviews, strategy meetings. Responsible to plan Revenue, margin, Opex, Cash collection and A/R for the Americas region.  
  • Prepare various management analytical reports and presentations including: budget vs. actual reports of sales, gross margin, P&L, monthly headcount reconciliation, cash flow and balance sheet. Responsible for the business dashboard information integrity and timely reporting. Consolidation, budget and control of OPEX and CAPEX. CAPEX/OPEX forward looking; monthly accruals; monthly variation analysis; projects lifetime projections; ensure correct booking and reporting of Actual and Budget in Oracle and Hyperion.
  • Manage internal approval processes (Ie deal review committee). Prepare material for deals sign off and review of P&L, BS, CF, and risk assessment; Monitor spent: Approve PR, according to projects budgets and general Dept OPEX spending targets.
  • Monitor the execution of the assets sales (Raven, Mexico, Chile), produce cash flow forecast by project, track development milestone for each project, in collaboration with the Dev team.
  • During forecast ensure Company’s rules for revenue recognition are applied and ensure compliance with internal policy for all business models. With the Revenue Recognition Manager, correctly report the business unit revenue in actual figures and forecasts.
  • Support Commercial Operations Senior Director with ad hoc analysis and complex modeling (sales, new business model evaluation, delivery, risk/liabilities assessment).
  • Work closely with Sales Operations and other personnel across functions to achieve BOQ targets.
  • Indirectly manage FP&A resource in Manila (month end close activities, analysis of actual data at period close, data input and data fix in the supporting systems, booked entries clarification; reconciliation; purchase requisitions supervision: budget and control, Opex and headcount report)
  • Ensure business practices comply with SunPower internal policies and procedures.
  • Play an integral role in the oversight of monthly financial close (review closing activities and ensure proper accounting for sales-related matter, including accruals, freight expenses, OPEX) .
  • Demand planning for the Americas region including SPES, Regional Sales Pipeline management, Guarantee that SFDC pipeline information is always current.
  • Lead demand forecasting. Includes BOQ quarterly planning and actual reporting processes. Instilling QA/QC to bookings forecast integrity, and projections of revenue recognition in conjunction with forecasting processes.
  • Maintain Price list – coordinate with the sales team and management for pricing approval.

Working Relationships

  • Internal: SPT and SPES Senior Management, FP&A, Customer Operations, Sales Operations, Accounting, Sales, and Operations.
  • Indirect manages a resource in Manila, Philippines.

Related Experience & Educational Requirements

The ideal candidate has worked with different business units and legal entities with a range of currencies and business models; understands how to present a consolidated view to management from this base. The candidate is able to make sense of multiple data sources. Acting as the bridge between the details of all the entities/systems and upper management, the candidate is able to speak to both the detail and the summary and present only what is necessary while still understanding the details behind the summary roll-up. He has very strong financial skills.

  • Degree in economics, finance, or engineering;
  • MBA. Degree from top tier institution highly appreciated, management accountant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience, preferably in the planning and analysis field, 4+ or which in a publicly-traded multi-national corporation, preferably a US corporation active in the infrastructure industry (O&G, wind, construction).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling with superior analytical and financial skills to evaluate a broad range of financial questions-especially IRR and NPV valuation, ROI/ROIC, and complex business questions. Superior Excel skills.
  • Superior presentation skills (written and delivery).
  • Ability to lead and drive change in a developing business environment. Exposure to business process redesign/improvement.
  • Hands-on, excellent organizational skills. Independent, “can-do” attitude, self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP and budgeting systems, preferably Oracle and Anaplan.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Fluency in English is required and fluency in European languages is highly desired (French). Must be legally permitted to work in US.

  • Occasional international business trips (10-15%)
