Analyst, Field Operations

SunPower is searching for an analyst for the rapidly growing Field Operations team. This position will be responsible for developing sophisticated analytical models, dashboard reports, and data visualizations – tools that are essential to measuring the performance and overall health of the residential installation business and to inform decision-making at the leadership level.  The position requires analytical brilliance, creativity, and collaboration, using data to turn business requirements into operational excellence.



  • BA/BS degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance or Operations
  • Three years of experience in consulting, business operations or data analytics
  • Advanced data analytics and developer experience (Qlik Sense & Anaplan preferred)
  • Ability to anticipate business intelligence gaps, needs and opportunities
  • Experience managing and utilizing large data sets to drive performance and process improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex data into simple, actionable recommendations to the leadership level
  • Ability to drive decisions and change management through data analysis, collaboration, and leadership
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to new requirements
  • Comfortable balancing competing priorities
  • A keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities



  • Compile data from multiple platforms and sources to model cost, capacity planning, order flow, and compliance to various service level metrics
  • Develop and maintain effective communication tools to report business performance and drive business decisions
  • Work with business leader stakeholders to develop sophisticated predictive models and visualizations that provide actionable intelligence and indicators
  • Provide analytical support for new business cases, proposals, and key initiatives
  • Administer and automate performance compensation programs
  • Interface with other department analysts and business intelligence teams to maximize impact in supporting Field Operations success


Preferred Qualities and Experience:

  • Experience with or passion for renewable energy
  • Prior knowledge of or experience with the residential solar installation industry
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, creative
