SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is seeking an experienced on-site receptionist for the Richmond, CA office. The Receptionist reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for greeting visitors, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining security. This entails answering calls, addressing visitor questions and needs, sorting mail, and providing an overall welcoming environment. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing them appropriately and notifying company personnel of visitor and vendor arrivals 

  • Answer phones, receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries and manage outgoing mail 

  • Applies basic knowledge of functional work area, systems, software and associated processes and tools

  • Keeps a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 

  • Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, issuing visitor badges and monitoring video footage   

  • Manage gym and conference room access as needed 

  • Assist Office Manager with large projects, office visits or meetings.  

  • Assist Facilities Manager and EHS teams with special projects as needed. 

  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing 

  • Welcomes VIPs and sets-up welcome signs and welcome baskets 

  • Enforce office policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately 

  • Work closely with EHS team and HR team in support of safe workplace plans and actions 

  • Support COVID/pandemic actions and needs

  • Interactions with stakeholders

  • Relationships with peers, subordinates, customers

  • Integrate technical terms or specific knowledge into deliverables where possible

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements

 

  • 1-3 years of work experience in an administrative/receptionist role

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications.

 

Preferred requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Punctual with a good attendance history 

  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
