Summary of Role:

SunPower’s mission is to change the way the world is powered.  Solar energy is one of the fastest-growing industries in the US.  Not only is going solar beneficial for the planet; for most Americans, it also saves money vs. buying power from the utility.  Studies show that the #1 barrier to solar adoption is concern over how to pay for initial installation.  The mission of the Financial Products team is to remove that barrier by making it cheap and easy for customers to go solar.  This is a “ground floor” opportunity with the opportunity to have an impact at scale almost immediately. The Financial Product team manages Underwriting, Credit, and Servicing functions for all financial transactions within SunPower Financial. We are seeking a business improvement expert to join our team and help drive process improvement, innovation and change management.  In this role, you will work in a team environment that is high growth, fast-moving, and constantly changing as we transform the solar financing space and obsess over continually improving the customer experience. 


Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and redesign processes for key business functions to drive business goals and objectives, improve process maturity and expand automation wherever possible
  • Perform in-depth strategy & transformation analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the SunPower Financial Operations teams
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, consult, build consensus, partner with, and communicate priorities and expectations across multiple business units
  • Implement solutions that combine technology, automation, process improvement, and policy changes to deliver innovative customer experience, service, and scale outcomes
  • Responsible for a portfolio of initiatives that cut across multiple business units, set of senior leaders, initiative leaders, governance forums, and working teams
  • Develop recommendations to support growth and business improvement initiatives that will have a significant impact on SunPower Financial’s long-term success
  • Drive a continuous business improvement philosophy by creating a continuous improvement culture across the organization
  • Effectively influence stakeholders/project teams and be well-skilled in both oral and written communication

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in consumer lending, preferrable in the solar asset space
  • Ability to dive deep and find gaps that need to be addressed and solved
  • 7+ years of project, program, or business analysis experience
  • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of organizational change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Track record of on-time, on scope, high-quality implementations
