SUMMARY OF ROLE SunPower is looking for a Finance Systems Business Analyst for our SunPower Energy Services business, located in Austin, TX. This is a position which will support the Global Finance and Accounting organizations.

Finance IT Business Analyst will work hand in hand with our commercial and residential business partners, including cross-functional and cross-geographical teams. A successful person will have knowledge in accounting and systems with excellent analytical skills to enable compliant, operationally efficient financial systems and processes. This position reports directly to the Senior Financial Systems Manager, and the responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:



  • Support the Finance Systems Manager for the overall management of the Global Finance and Accounting Information Systems Environments, the direction and coordination of projects, including the design, development, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of the multiple finance-related systems
  • Serve as an integral accounting and finance partner to the business in support of the accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong finance functional expertise, business process knowledge and an understanding of US GAAP and SOX 404 compliance
  • Provide real-time accounting, reporting and analysis, including maintaining and improving accounting and reporting systems, managing relationships, and overseeing bookkeeping performed by Global teams
  • Help and Manage month-end close, accounting processes and procedures related to all aspects of the business and in line with corporate and external reporting guidelines.
  • Analyze financial results of operations, business trends and metrics, prepare and present financial summaries and various analyses for upper management.
  • Assist with accounting set up and procedures for new business initiatives.
  • Propose and help implement proper IT and accounting procedures, Process Improvements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.



Minimum requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or similar).
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in accounting.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures, accounting systems and SOX process.
  • Good understanding of the critical finance business processes around Procurement to Payment, Order to Cash, Inventory to COGS, Fixed Assets, Record to Report and Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Expert Proficiency with Excel, Power Query, Word and PPT
