Family Description:

Performs and evaluates work measurement and workflow analysis for the establishment of standards and the utilization of production facilities. Develops plant and equipment layout, capacity plans, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Provides product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices. Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for inclusion in the production process.

 

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates advanced and/or broad expertise in unique technical areas.
  • Contributes to the development of company principles and objectives.
  • Achieves goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Provides technical guidance and reviews process/ equipment qualifications and development.
  • Broad knowledge and influence in technical areas outside designated assignment area (e.g. customer requirements, other technical fields).
  • Leads the collaboration and integration of various disciplines, functions and specialties.
  • Remains current on relevant technologies, emerging business and industry trends and competitive technical direction.
  • Ability to Manage suppliers, and any internal department (Asia, Europe, America) as a transversal Project Manager
  • Broad Knowledge on Lean principles (Kaizen, 5S, 8D, SPC 6-sigma, etc…)
  • Ability to perform Line Audit Performance (Takt Time, Cycle time, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Yield), and to deliver efficient plan to resolve key concerns
  • Ability to deliver standard operator work instructions, and adequate training to any level (Operator, Technician, Engineer, Manager)
  • Ability to implement tool modification by himself is a plus (PLC code, mechanical, etc..)
  • Ability to deliver & manage action plan for improving Safety, Leadtime, conversion costs, Quality Yield, related to a factory area or product/process purpose
  • Experienced on assembly process, and project management

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or M.S. Degree and 6+ years or Ph.D. and 4+ years
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

 

Travel, Language, Reporting:

  • Direct Report to Sr Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) Manager
  • Up to 50% travel requested, international area (Asia, Europe, America)
  • Fluent English and French is a must, Spanish would be a plus
  • Located SunPower De Vernejoul Facility (Porcelette, 57890, France)
