The Marketing Communication Manager develops, executes and measures Marketing strategies and programs to support the business growth in Australia and in the Oceania region, working closely with the in-country Managing Director and sales team.  The individual is tasked with creating a highly effective marketing strategy utilizing marketing and creative programs to drive high volume and quality results with limited budget. Acting as the primary marketing point of contact for the markets, this role suits a dynamic marketer who is highly organized and able to multi-task. 




  • Define, implement and track integrated marketing programs to support business growth. This might include: lead gen campaigns, webinars, events, advertising, website, etc.
  • Identify national and local events & speaking opportunities, ensuring coordination and execution with the Global event manager
  • Raise and enhance customers’ stickiness by identifying, executing and tracking dedicated programs (e.g. incentives, training, etc.)
  • Support SunPower Partner channel to execute marketing activities, ensuring brand consistencywith the aim to increase SunPower MS% Lead the planning and execution ofPartner events, ensuring coordination and execution with the Global events manager
  • Build and localise, in coordination with the Global marketing team, best-in-class sales tools to support Partners and sales team’s selling approach (e.g. brochures, case studies, videos, web, etc.)
  • Manage, in coordination with the web team, the development and maintenance of the online content (e.g. website, Partner Portal, emailings, etc) for the targeted markets
  • Actively research competitor. Be the owner of the local messaging and contribute proactively to the market segmentation
  • Collaborate in the definition and implementation of any new product or service that will drive incremental revenue in the country (from conceptualization to launch)
  • Partner withManaging Directors in supporting high-value revenue opportunities
  • Set up and manage a local network of vendors
  • Manage and track Marketing budget
  • Support media relationship-building efforts in partnership with US CorpComm




Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years Marketing experience, with deep understanding of demand generation, offline and online marketing, channel marketing and B2C marketing
  • University degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • Languages: English (native). Any other language is an asset
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (offline & online)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Attention to details and exceptional quality requirements
  • Ability to work independently with moderate direction, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literate: MS Office. Knowledge of, Eloqua and content management tools (Drupal)


Preferred requirements

  • Experience in an International Corporation with complex matrix organization is an asset
  • Previous experience in energy/solar industry is an asset
  • Excellent data analysis skills, with a passion for understanding data, patterns and trends
  • Marketing automation – Experience managing lead nurturing and scoring programs with Eloqua or other marketing automation tools
  • Vendor management: Experience identifying, negotiating with and signing new vendors. Ability to push vendors to make continual improvements, and to provide clear direction on campaigns



- This position is based in Melbourne (Australia) and is on full time basis

- Up to 30% of domestic and International travels required
