SUMMARY OF ROLE

 

SunPower is seeking a Quality Management and Process Improvement Senior Engineer to support the company’s overall Quality Team Strategy.  The Quality Management and Process Improvement Senior Engineer reports to the Business Intelligence Department Manager and will be responsible for performing projects and analytical assignments in close coordination with specific business process supported and process owners.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establishes and maintains appropriate quality control plans for transactional quality monitoring.
  • Develops, prepares, and publishes value-adding reports related to Quality Management and Process Improvement.
  • Performs process improvement work on reports, projects, and tasks, when necessary
  • Performs detailed requirement documentation with minimal supervision
  • Supports and/or leads the delivery of Quality Team projects
  • Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned to support Business needs and Team objectives.
  • Supports other colleagues in Quality Team whenever necessary

 

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration/Management or relevant field
  • At least 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in Project Management
  • Ability to understand workflow, process data, and formulate plans of action to support data analysis, highly organized and attentive to details
  • Can work with minimum supervision with a strong desire to learn and accept new challenges; results and process-oriented
  • Proven track record in leading and/or facilitating improvement projects, conducting quality audits and training
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional business organizations, service-oriented, and can effectively manage client requests
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate with people from all levels and multi-cultures
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite. Knowledge of advanced Excel functions and formulas and Power Query

  • Willing to be flexible in work shift
