SunPower is looking for a Manager of Construction Quality and Efficiency. This leader is responsible for ensuring Sunpower as a leader in quality and efficiency, not only with products, but with construction activities as well. As a construction and electrical subject matter expert, the Manager of Construction Quality and Efficiency will help guide Sunrun’s residential best practice.

Principle duties include:


  • Influence and improve field operations safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in defining field construction best practice
  • Support licensing requirements by acting as a qualifying individual or RME for Sunpower
  • Field technical support on complex electrical or construction requirements
  • Support closed loop learning on quality observations
  • Engage with AHJ’s and/or permitting jurisdictions as needed


Required Qualifications: 

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years of solar installation experience or equivalent trade
  • Electrical Journeyman's License 
  • Supervising and/or Master Electrician license(s)
  • OSHA 10 Certification 
  • Strong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential PV installations 
  • Proficient in the installation of grid-tied and micro inverter applications. 
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places. 
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean MVR


Preferred requirements:

  • Within driving distance to NJ or NY
  • OSHA 30
  • NABCEP certification 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
