Summary of Role:

It is the role of the Solar Advisor Supervisor to enable the success of their team in quota attainment and proper lead qualification. Supervisors participate in the hiring, training, and continued coaching of Solar Advisors. Duties of the Supervisor include performing regular one-on-one meetings, coaching to quality concerns, and holding team members accountable to clearly set expectations of performance.

We are looking for results-driven individuals to train, coach, and lead a team of Solar Advisors in achieving monthly goals. Individuals in this role will be responsible for their team’s continued success by providing the resources for them to learn and grow in their role. Additionally, supervisors work closely with members of the Marketing team, Dealer network, and Inside Sales teams to ensure customer experience standards are met throughout the lead handling process.



  • Manage the Solar Advisor team
  • Set and track targets (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for your team
  • Work with Solar Advisors to maintain high end-customer satisfaction by guiding quality prospects through the sales channel and process
  • Ensure all Solar Advisors are following the proper lead qualification guidelines when converting a lead to an appointment
  • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Determine and implement schedules that maximize performance
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the pre-sales process
  • Coordinate with other channels to provide support as needed: RVAR, SPD, TPS, Commercial
  • Report on pre-sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Continue to work toward improving reach rates and customer engagement through research, data analysis, and other solutions
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Liaise with Marketing departments to ensure brand consistency and increase consultations


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience leading teams and peer coaching
  • Able to use and visually comprehend Google Earth imaging
  • Evidence of exceptional judgment and critical thinking
  • Able to maneuver through different apps quickly, multitask and exercises time management skills
  • Takes initiative and is prepared to resolve customer concerns
  • Must be motivated, well organized, highly detailed, and committed to deadlines
  • Maintains the highest level of sales ethics and integrity
  • Verbal communication, phone skills, listening skills, attention to detail and professionalism
  • Provides high-quality work with a proven ability to hit and exceed goals
  • Must be coachable, engaged and open-minded during training and be willing to ask questions


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in sales or someone with a sales background
  • Previous experience with outlook, dialer and Salesforce is also preferred but not required
  • Experience working in the solar industry


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Able to communicate orally with management, co-workers, and the public in face to face, one on one and group settings
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via telephone), and be able to read computer screens, correspondence and report
  • The job requires the following types of vision: close, distance, peripheral and depth
  • Work in an office environment and sustain posture in a seated position for moderate periods of time
  • Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
