SunPower is seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to join the Total Rewards team and act as the primary point of contact for compensation programs that support the company’s strategy and growth initiatives. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the effective and consistent application of compensation policies and practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Analyze country-specific compensation data and relevant market trends to develop and maintain salary structures and market pricing recommendations. Prepare and conduct market data research resulting in an actionable, data-driven report.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures that are externally competitive while retaining internal equity and alignment with company objectives/policies.
  • Complete and conduct periodic salary surveys to ensure competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with leadership on annual pay plan design, documentation, and rollout. Analyze and report on the budgetary impact of compensation decisions.
  • Manage the creation and review of incentive plan documents and other compensation-related documents. Create communication tools to launch the plans to the eligible populations.
  • Educate stakeholders on the compensation philosophy of SunPower. Conduct manager and employee training sessions periodically throughout the year.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time output to Payroll.
  • Stay up to date with industry news, benchmarks, and studies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate governance.
  • As a member of a global Total Rewards team, act as a key contributor to the development and delivery of significant and impactful functional initiatives and recommend new approaches to improve overall service delivery.
  • Conduct compensation training for HR and the recruiting team.
  • Develop and lead the rewards and recognition program.
  • Recommend creative approaches to further drive company engagement through rewards and recognition.

 

Supervision:

Reports to Sr. Director of Total Rewards

  • Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field and 8+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of compensation programs.  Sales compensation design, implementation, and execution are a significant plus.
  • Expert knowledge of compensation structures, job grading and job slotting, HR policy, employment law and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with complex and global organizations. Background in sales operations, finance, or HR.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach to business partnership.
  • Experience in change management and change leadership. Ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Passion for promoting and improving a stellar employee experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong Project management/organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate highly sensitive information effectively to employees and management at all levels of the company.
