Summary of Role:

SunPower is seeking a Sales Analyst to provide analytical sales and operational support for the NA Residential Business Unit.  The Senior Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the different channel leaders to plan and manage the business unit, including identifying sales opportunities, revenue forecasting, sales commission reporting, sales consultation metric tracking, demand planning, and allocating materials and resources. The position will involve close interactions across numerous departments, including Sales, Project Finance, Project Management, Operations, Digital, IT and other corporate departments in carrying out job responsibilities.


  • Provide analysis to measure, track and report key sales metrics including business outlook, bookings, etc.

  • Partner with finance and sales leaders forecasting the business, bridging from sales opportunities to predict future growth.

  • Develop and report regularly on other business metrics and develop business models.

  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on deviations from plan, particularly in relation to sales productivity.

  • Conduct market data analysis to assist senior management in identifying opportunities for revenue growth.

  • Support business unit planning, working closely with sales and operations leaders to maintain demand plans for the business unit.

  • Generate reports in Salesforce and QlikSense that improve visibility to all departments regarding forecasts and actual performance.

  • Interact and communicate with stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments.

  • Assist in maintaining the overall business unit financial plan by supporting the development of the quarterly forecasts, annual and multi-year plans.

  • Other duties as required to support team objectives.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or equivalent

  • 5+ years of related experience in financial analyst role and familiarity with financial analysis

  • Strong knowledge of business processes and strategy

  • Track record of successful program/project management

  • Salesforce or other CRM experience helpful

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

  • Capable of working in a team environment; ability to encourage and leverage ideas/inputs from others

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communications, and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, strong personal initiative to take ownership of work product and strive for results

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and quickly pick up on concepts and processes to allow for independent responsibilities
