SunPower is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join SunPower’s Financial Services Team in Austin, TX. This role will be responsible for executing daily Retail Installment Contract and Loan financing operations. This person will develop and maintain relationships with current and potential investors. They will collaborate internally with sales, originations, financial products, compliance, legal, tax, accounting, risk, servicing and FP&A on existing financing and new financing programs. To be successful in this role, you will possess data modeling excel skills with analytics, verbal and written communication skills. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments on a daily basis will help be successful. You will also be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•             Creates operating and fund models to create SunPower Retail Installment Contract forecasts and projections – the operating model is supported by individual fund models, and projects all types of cash flows

•             Performs loan structuring and prepares presentation materials of credit for investor approval.

•             Work closely with the originations, operations, financial product and project finance teams to manage end to end Retail Installment financing

•             Create, maintain and update cash flow and/or valuation models for Retail Installment Contract Funding

•             Maintain and update quarterly and annual forecasting model, including “what-if” scenario analysis for management review

•             Reconcile Investor Funding for daily funding submission and work with cross-functional team to resolve rejection and backlog

•             Develop and maintain process control for an end to end funding life cycle and establish controls and checklist across the funding life cycle

•             Ensure all approved applications comply with company and legal criteria and requirements

•             Lead new initiatives with cross-functional teams for efficient execution and operational integrations

•             Ability to be organized, strategically focused, detail-oriented, proactive and work with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment

•             Support day to day loan funding and servicing operations


Minimum Qualifications

•             Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or related area of study. Master’s degree preferred.

•             At least 4 to 6 years of working experience in finance, loan funding operations experience will be preferred

•             Advanced skills in MS Excel and data modeling experience

•             Demonstrated strength in issue identification, directing and performing quantitative analysis, and effectively synthesizing complex data into key insights

•             Self-motivated and strong work ethic with the ability to proactively manage diverse relationships and multiple, complex projects simultaneously


Essential Qualifications

•             Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and lead a team in a fast-moving environment

•             Team player who can collaborate in developing strategies and provide forward-thinking solutions

•             Experience presenting to and working with senior leadership and influencing decision-making.

•             Advanced knowledge of statistical applications within Financial Services to interpret data requests and identify data analytics opportunities.

•             Ability to handle multiple activities/projects simultaneously
