Summary Of Role

SunPower is seeking a qualified Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for financial analysis throughout Residential Solar & Storage Lease, Loan, and Cash products. This role will be responsible for analyzing and researching key financial metrics in the Residential business and creating reports and data visualizations. This person will collaborate internally with colleagues in financial products, asset management, project finance, risk, loan/lease servicing, FP&A and others. Key to this role will be a keen ability to manage financial models and analyze large financial data sets to identify trends, create reports, and communicate business insights. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data and create and maintain complex financial models for decision support
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Work across key functional areas to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Perform market research, ad-hoc analysis, and scenario analysis
  • Analyze past results, performance variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of the key metrics, operations, and current trends
  • Create interactive dashboards and reporting using tools such as Excel, Qliksense, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Identify areas of opportunity, build new KPI’s from analysis, and brainstorm creative solutions with the team

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related area of study
  • 3 years of experience in finance
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CFA
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Additional skills in working with SQL databases, database querying languages, and query software
  • Experience with Renewable Energy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Practical knowledge in problem-solving through mathematical/statistical analysis with large data sets across multiple data sets
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-growing environment
  • Ability to document policies, procedures, and processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
