Summary of Role

SunPower is seeking to hire an entry-level Sales Operations Analyst located in Austin, TX. This person will be involved in bridging data and communications between Demand Planning, Sales Operations, and Supply Planning, enabling us to build a robust, interconnected trio of departments that function as one unit, driving automated, robust processes that enable rapid response to changes in our highly dynamic solar and storage market.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cross-collaboration and strong communication with New Products teams (NPI), Business Units (BUs), peers, and management to improve demand forecasts
  • Analysis of historical demand data to predict future growth using statistical processes
  • Analysis of history to drive improvements in existing processes
  • Improve accuracy metrics by via Forecast Value Add (FVA) and drive efficiency and accuracy to planning
  • Analyze demand vs. supply on all SKUs to proactively navigate potential supply shortages
  • Generate reports in QlikSense that improve visibility to all departments regarding demand
  • Maintain data in Anaplan and help highlight improvement opportunities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related fields
  • 0-2 years of experience recommended
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • **Excellent** written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player, willing to work with peers to solve problems that impact many departments
  • Has a knack for detail and enjoys complex projects
  • Successfully applied statistical methods/machine learning in projects
  • Ability to handle pressure and can provide accurate responses and analyses quickly
  • Ability to hit deadlines on projects, as well as prioritization of multiple projects

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Background in Statistics and/or Machine Learning, including Data Visualizations
  • Some level of programming experience (VBA, Python, SQL, R, etc.)
  • Ready to learn QlikSense and Anaplan
  • Operations Research (Linear Optimization models) a plus
