Summary of Role:

SunPower is looking for a New Homes Solar Advisor for our New Homes Division located in Austin, TX. This position serves as the first point of contact with SunPower in our New Homes channel for residential customers. This person will qualify leads, interact with customers to determine their needs, and set up our team for success.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Displays general knowledge of department operations and procedures and some knowledge of relationships with other departments and their systems.
  • Uses judgment to determine the most efficient order of activities to achieve established objectives and assigned deadlines.
  • Provides a variety of project support assistance to the team.
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize specialized and/ or more advanced software.

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree and 4+ years related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Inside sales experience gained within a sales quota environment preferred.
  • New homes market solar experience.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of solar or leased services
  • Ability to work independently with moderate direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

     

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for working hours
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable method
  • Able to position and move objects up to 10 pounds
  • Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
  • The position requires travel with the potential of overnight stays between assigned facilities and various locations within the community.
  • Less than or equal to 10% travel.
  • Day to day work is completed in the office at personal computer M-F, first shift hours
  • Ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines, telephones, but occasionally may be above average for portions of the business day
