SUMMARY OF ROLE

 

Intern Program Overview

  • 10-12 week summer program
  • Interns will individually work under the direction of their managers and will participate in a series of preplanned events throughout the summer, including executive presentations, a team-building day, and an end-of-program intern presentation to his/her manager and eStaff member about the project they delivered during their internship.
  • All interns will complete the program by the last day of August 2020.  At the completion of the program, the intern will be evaluated and considered for possible future full-time employment upon graduation.
  • Hourly-based, paid internship, approximately 40 hours per week.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
     
    The Human Resource Intern will directly assist the Human Resource organization on projects related but not limited to HR compliance, compensation, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, and HR operations. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills he or she may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play within a global, publicly traded corporation.   The expectation is that the Intern will complete a body of work or establish a process that can be fully implemented into HR’s daily operations. 
     
    RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
     
    Eligibility
  • Program is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
  • A current student, ideally enrolled in an academic program at one of SunPower’s partner schools. 
  • Candidate must possess solid MS Office knowledge including intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
