Summary of Role

SunPower seeks a Senior Designer for our Creative Studio team who will be responsible for supporting the overall efforts of our in-house creative resources and external vendors. Included will be conceptualizing, developing and delivering innovative strategic on-target solutions for all assigned projects (Digital banners, sales sheets, brochures, videos, trade show materials, etc.). 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Help produce exceptional creative work
  • Adhere to, constantly review and improve Creative processes
  • Support the overall efforts of the creative team; collaboratively execute innovative creative projects through solid brand strategy; ensure projects are completed within prescribed timelines and budget parameters 
  • Contribute creative concepts and designs as well as evaluate designs/concepts developed by other team members and external vendors
  • Ensure that high-quality creative projects are delivered with a strong attention to detail 
  • Study the creative marketplace; stay current with trends and innovation
  • Translate and extend the brand look and feel, brand identity and style guidelines with the team
  • Prepare design presentations including mock-ups, storyboards and PowerPoint summaries
  • Plan and lay out artwork for assigned projects; provide clear instructions and prepare final layouts for production in a clean and organized file format
  • Manage project organization for all projects; oversee the archiving of design assets
  • Collect, read, interpret and use related project briefs to deliver innovative creative with solid brand strategy   
  • Deliver - in a clear, concise and direct manner - professional-client presentations that are engaging, visually compelling, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale and strategy   
  • Required to work extended hours when necessary to support the design team in meeting deadlines


Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent creative skills
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
  • Skilled in the use of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) at an advanced level; Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) at an intermediate to advanced level

  • A drive for excellent work that fuels your passion to deliver only the highest quality outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Negotiation skills and flexible outlook
  • Perfectionist attention to detail and exceptional quality standards
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with outside vendors such as design agencies, copywriters, photographers and videographers
  • Proven strong relationship-management skills: able to successfully relate to people at all levels of business; capable of forming and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships
  • Animation/video editing skills in After Effects a bonus!
