Summary of Role:

Develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for supplier and/or commodities. Establishes and implements strategies for negotiating supplier/commodity agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms. Employs knowledge of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop and implement optimal Global Category management strategies. Negotiates contracts and ensures contractual terms and performance scorecards are being met. Identifies, engages, qualifies, develops and manages sources. Provides project management support, proactively identifying risks for key supplier programs benefiting SunPower.

·  May determine appropriate delivery mechanisms, content requirements, timing and schedules.

·  Recommends new approaches to improve overall service delivery.

Impact and Results Focus:

·  Demonstrated ability to produce positive results, meeting or exceeding customer expectations and business objectives.

·  Makes comprehensive recommendations impacting content, development, delivery and timing.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience

·  Advanced Degree is desirable

·  OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
