Finance Operation Manager will be part of SunPower’s Portfolio Operations Team, responsible for managing Residential Financed Lease, Loan, and Cash Contracts on Sub Ledger thru its life cycle.  This role will provide the business with leadership thru deep knowledge and proven record of accomplishment with expertise in managing day-to-day finance operations. Management of contract modifications, invoicing, and buyouts and disposition the contract thru the life cycle of the contract. Maintain daily, weekly, monthly reporting of deposits and balance batches daily and ensure postings in all billing systems balance to finance at month end. Manage Bank-to-Book reconciliation, resolve open items, and unapplied suspense balance review monthly and resolving pending and open items to maintain the integrity of sub-ledger with a financial and legal set of books.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ( other may be assigned ):

  • Manage complete Sub Ledger management for Lease, Loan, and Cash Finance Operations from Contract Booking, Invoicing, Financial Modifications, Payment Application, Reconciliation to Financial Close
  • Manage Global Delivery Team, develop exceptional talent, and encourage your team to challenge assumptions
  • Manage contracts on sub-ledger system and understand contract level accounting activities
  • Oversee Payment Operations, recording of payment, reconciliation of payment application and addressing identified gaps and balance the books
  • Understand the Sub-Ledger Accounting impacts and manage operations activities to ensure we are complaint on GAAP Accounting
  • Responsible for maintaining portfolio integrity post commencement of contract from contract booking to disposition by setting up controls and checks based on Financier and Accounting requirements and Company's standards
  • Address and resolve common and complex Contract Management Life Cycle and Payment Reconciliation issues by proposing guidelines and processes where precedence doesn’t exist
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the Finance organization in maintaining and improving Finance Operations
  • Establish internal operation and finance controls to monitor and review the contract life cycle and payment reconciliation for accuracy and timely processing and uphold the organization's fiduciary responsibility.
  • Lead efforts within Finance and Accounting to design and implement a best Operational practice for overall Sub Ledger management
  • Proactively drive for continuous finance operations process improvement and communications and be a key team member on finance operations projects requirements
  • Successfully influence business partners to adapt to new operationally designed methods to maximize operational efficiencies, improve the client experience, execution timelines, and accuracy.
  • Monitor changes in business processes to ensure Sub Ledger Activities, Reconciliations Templates, and any associated applications are updated as policy.
  • Coordinate Operation activities regularly with other internal departments such as funding, sales, customer service, accounting, tax, legal, treasury and asset management teams

Experience and Education Requirement:

  • Five to seven years of proven experience with technical strengths in financial operations and financial administration
  • Demonstrated experience liaising directly with ownership, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with Management at all levels
  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration OR an equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
