SunPower is seeking to hire an Asset Management Analyst located in Austin, TX.  The position will be part of SunPower’s financial asset management team, responsible for managing the long-term financial performance of a portfolio of residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar assets.  The analyst will support SunPower’s residential and commercial business for project-level debt and equity investors post-transaction closing and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of all contractual, compliance, and performance obligations required under the financing agreements.  This position will coordinate regularly with other internal departments such as project finance, accounting, tax, legal and operational teams. 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of all financing structures for assigned portfolio and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all operational processes are executed in compliance with agreements
  • Support, maintain, validate and administer detailed financial models associated with structured finance transactions
  • Work closely with incentive team to develop CA Rec Program
  • Ensure all investor cash distributions and debt service payments are executed per terms of financing agreements
  • Prepare and deliver all periodic reporting to debt and equity investors and internal management
  • Respond to investor inquiries and requests as needed

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years related experience
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic with the ability to proactively manage diverse relationships and multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excel modeling skills (VBA)
  • Creative Problem Solver
  • University degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or a related field
  • 1+ years of relevant financial experience, ideally in renewable energy finance
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company
  • Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levels
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, solar markets, and related regulatory issues is a plus but is not required
  • Proficiency in all other Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Based in Austin, Texas
