GENERAL DESCRIPTION

SunPower is seeking to hire an Asset Management Analyst located in Austin, TX.  This position will be an integral part of the Asset Management team supporting the management of all contractual, regulatory and reporting obligations of SunPower residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) projects during the operational phase.  The position will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to manage the long-term financial performance of the projects with the goal of maximizing return on investment for the various project level investors.  Specific responsibilities will include:

 

  • Preparing reports summarizing financial and operational performance of assets for distribution to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the Asset Management team with compiling data needed for various regulatory filings
  • Managing centralized process for setup, billing and settlement of solar incentive programs
  • Coordinating closely with accounting and tax teams to ensure monthly accruals, GL entries, and internal reporting requirements are competed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administering project level financing agreements including execution of loan draws, deposits, debt service payments and cash distributions
  • Ensuring fulfillment and compliance of all project-level contracts including the PPA, LGIA, O&M, EPC and financing agreements
  • Developing analysis and presentations for executive management
  • Supporting cross-functional teams in resolution of material issues affecting operational projects (e.g. commercial disputes, warranty claims, environmental or regulatory violations)
  • Ensuring the management processes developed by the Asset Management team are implemented consistently across all projects in the portfolio

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years related experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

 

Preferred Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • 3.5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and perform job tasks independently in an unstructured environment with limited direction
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, growing company
  • Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levels
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, solar markets and related regulatory issues is a plus, but is not required
