SUMMARY OF ROLE

The New Construction Division of SunPower is seeking a Sales Operations Analyst, Multifamily to provide analytical sales and operational support for the NA Multifamily New Construction business unit. The Sales Operations Analyst, Multifamily reports to the Director of Sales, Multifamily and will be responsible for supporting management, regional sales managers, account managers, marketing, inside sales and operations teams to track, resolve, report and implement changes to key business processes.  The Sales Operations Analyst will help improve communication, efficiency and overall effectiveness for the company, our client builder/developer partners, and their stakeholders. The Sales Operations Analyst will also document current processes, identify gaps, highlight requirements for process change, and lead the cross-functional implementation of approved changes. 

 

Additionally, the Sales Operations Analyst activities will include supporting business planning, market sizing, share and penetration, goal tracking, cost/pricing analysis, forecasting, proposal building, pipeline management, data tracking, industry research and other business analyst functions. The Sales Operations Analyst will support the multifamily team from the time of initial opportunity creation on IT platforms and CRM tools, on through to proposal delivery, follow-up, project award and contracting.  They will help ensure a seamless transition from time of initial inquiry to design, to booking, and on through to project management and installation. Additionally, as this is a new and rapidly growing business, the successful candidate will also be responsible for documenting sales processes and supporting IT projects focused on building-out key functionality, workflows and pipeline reporting.

 

The Sales Operations Analyst will be the SunPower New Homes point of contact for ensuring multifamily Title 24 compliance and will build relationships with key external partners for each project.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Represent the SunPower brand with excellence both internally and externally

  • Support market analysis, data capture, and business development efforts

  • Create, monitor, and generate reports to assist in meeting goals and defined objectives

  • Develop and document procedures for data collection, tracking, and reporting

  • Help identify and improve metrics and reporting to senior management

  • Become an expert at Title 24 solar code compliance and pertaining to multifamily new construction and serve as the primary contact point for Q&A

  • Maintain strong relations with builder/developer partners and industry consultants

  • Ensure data accuracy of project-specific information within CRM

  • Help drive process improvements and integration with IT systems

  • Assist in tracking marketing campaigns and executing marketing outreach initiatives

  • Support cross-functional efforts to document and improve work-flow procedures for design, estimating, contracting and project management

  • Work with sales teams regularly to maintain pipeline and accurate forecasting

  • Review and confirm new opportunities are properly set-up in CRM and IT platforms

  • Work with sales managers to create compelling proposals for sales opportunities

  • Interact and communicate with stakeholders at all levels across multiple departments both internally and externally

  • Other duties as required to support team objectives

  • Assist in management of marketing campaigns, sales forecasts, and sales pipelines

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline

  • 3 years in a business analyst capacity or equivalent work experience

  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, PPT, OneNote, Word etc

  • Experience with data management, reporting and CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce.com)

  • Thorough understanding of detailed financial modeling and analysis

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and execute assignments from several departments

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to learn quickly and become expert at navigating varying IT platforms, software systems, applications and tools (e.g. 3rd-party bid platforms, company CRM platform, company intranet, internal and external file-sharing platforms, proposal creation platforms, marketing platforms, etc.)

  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to assist with direct client communications

  • Ability to identify, document and guide necessary process improvements

  • ​​​​​​​Ability to work in a team environment with a customer focus

  • Ability to learn and show an understanding of new concepts quickly

 

Preferred requirements:

  • Prior experience with Salesforce CRM

  • Prior experience in PV solar industry

  • Prior experience with Title 24 building standards and codes

  • Prior experience in large-scale new construction

  • Prior experience working with detailed construction plan sets

  • Prior experience in Multifamily communities

  • Prior experience supporting B2B sales and marketing business activities
