Summary of Role:

The Design Training and Quality Specialist will execute on a variety of quality and training-related programs within the Residential Design and Engineering teams. A keen focus on quality is paramount to a well-functioning solar operation, and this person will be instrumental in developing a quality-focused operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform QA / QC on a variety of design and engineering tasks
• Refine QA / QC processes
• Develop and deliver training content related to design and engineering processes
• Oversee process changes to ensure compliance
• Support new hire training programs and new hire proficiency progression
• Monitor and develop systems that ensure quality products are generated from design processes
• Generate quality-related standard operating procedures for production teams
• Perform rework deep-dives and extract key process deficiencies
• Document, train and drive compliance to best practices
• Create and utilize reports and dashboards within Salesforce and Qlik Sense to understand various workflows
• Generate process maps and related documentation
• Be open to change, creative, optimistic, and set the example for team culture

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. or equivalent years of relevant experience
• Experience generating and delivering training content
• Experience performing root cause analysis
• Salesforce reporting and data analysis proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience performing analytics, metrics generation, or statistical analysis
• Experience in design or engineering in solar, electrical, or residential construction
• Understanding of NEC and I-codes as it relates to solar and storage
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft suite, Salesforce
• Lean / six sigma experience

• Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency

• The position requires travel with the potential of overnight stays between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Less than or equal to 30% travel.
• Day to day work is completed in the office or remotely at personal computer M-F, first shift hours
