SunPower is looking for a Project Manager to manage the scoping, planning, permitting, coordination and execution of solar installation on Multi-Family Projects. The Multi-Family Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all elements of the project are scoped correctly, proper expectations are set with the customer and other trades, and installation performed by partners is done with the highest quality and to the customer’s specifications.
Job Description
- Deliver on-time, on-budget projects by holding primary responsibility for managing sub-contractors for a portfolio of 10 mW of Multifamily solar and storage
- Manage all aspects of the project cycle for cross-regional multifamily projects to ensure profitability and compliance with contracts and negotiated agreements. This may include:
- oversight of budget and timelines
- value-engineering installation and interconnection strategies
- management of client, stakeholders, and subcontractor relationships,
- engineering and permitting,
- staffing and scheduling,
- interconnection, incentives, and close-out processes
- Perform analysis of procurement and cost actuals metrics and trends to support budgeting and resource allocation and planning
- Interface with and manage relationships with client and client agents
- Analyze and provide solutions to challenges and or problems
- Create, implement and drive operating rhythms to enable better communications and engagement with team members and drive key performance results
- Identify areas of concern in the project portfolio work to find resolutions.
Preferred background and experience
- 3+ years of experience in commercial/multifamily/utility solar construction or operations in management or strategic oversight role
- 3+ years of experience in project management of commercial-scale solar projects, managing vendors, and negotiating contracts
- Proficiency with CRM database systems, specifically Salesforce.com
- Experience with MS Project or other project/construction management platforms
- Experience with and Knowledge of Relevant building codes, Title 24 requirements, Interconnection in CA IOU territories, including VNEM and NEMA
- Invoicing and Accts Payable/Receivable
- Strong interpersonal skills; team player attitude, working with various builders, superintendents and craft labor to include our Installation Partners
- Ability to help build and strengthen an organization, building structure over time
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and reprioritize as necessary to align to current business objectives
