SunPower is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate the field operations for the New Homes California market. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of operations. This includes management of the day to day operations in the field.


Principle duties include

  • Oversee and improve regional field operations safety, quality, and customer experience.
  • Manage compliance with local licensing and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of Field Managers, and other local operations staff.
  • Accountable for managing team and individual metrics and reporting of those  
  • Engage team to understand goals and motivate them to hit individual and team targets, hold them accountable for doing so
  • Communicate regularly with the team with key updates on top priorities or other notable progress
  • Deliver headcount to enable judicious management to budget, reflecting business priorities.
  • Manage ongoing review/prioritization of resource allocation to meet business needs
  • Analyze and provide solutions to challenges or problems
  • Create, implement and drive operating rhythms to enable better communications and engagement with team members and drive key performance results ( metrics )
  • Identify areas of concern in the project portfolio and strategize to solve issues. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of solar construction experience including electrical applications
  • Experience managing people and processes in a fast-paced, results-driven company 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; team player attitude, working with various builders, superintendents and craft labor to include our Installation Partners
  • Ability to help build and strengthen an organization, building structure over time 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and reprioritize as necessary to align to current business objectives
  • Passionate customer focus
