Summary

We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Accountant to join our team.  This position is responsible for performing reviewing month-end journal entries and reconciliations, researching applicable accounting guidance, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404as well as other general ledger accounting functions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business teams in understanding new deals as they are proposed
  • Review contracts and complete accounting summary for each contract
  • Research accounting literature for compliance with revenue recognition accounting standards
  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Record journal entries for complex revenue transactions
  • Assist with the company’s monthly and quarterly financial close
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 key controls
  • Provide accounting support as needed for various department and projects group management
  • Provide analysis of financial results on a monthly basis
  • Present findings to managers and controllers on a real-time basis
  • Meet with business partners and discuss revenue recognition requirements and associated guidance

 

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Candidate must possess a sound working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills required
  • Team player
  • Ability to work well on large & small cross-functional teams. Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong presentation skills

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of public accounting experience required
  • Proficiency with Excel & Word is required
